A Burning Patrol (Roleplay Topic) Empty A Burning Patrol (Roleplay Topic)

Post  Mystel Sun Feb 24, 2013 12:00 pm

[This is a roleplay topic for the forum that I am going to start here. If anyone would like to join, go ahead.]

"Elevator 346 ready for Deployment" the automated voice says, as the doors unlock, allowing access. A teal colored Knight stretched out her arms a bit to her sides, before walking inside into the ready room. "Welcome Mystel, Vanguard Rank. What is your destination?" the computer asks, as the knight gets herself ready "Firestorm Citadel, please. Allow Allies and Guild mates" she replied. "Firestorm Citadel Selected." answered back the machine as the equipment shelf opens up.

Mystel, a recent Veteran Knight of Lionheart, selects her equipment. Several weapons appear on mounted walls, waiting to be received. She reaches up and pulls down her Divine Avenger, a heavy, yet powerful bastard sword, glowing with a holy light, sheathing it onto her back. A Blitz needle machine gun was next picked up, a front heavy automatic with piercing rounds, good for suppression or breaking away those crystals on the back of the massive Trojan soldiers. Last was her Archeon, a black steel katana lightly glowing with energy of darkness before sheathing it into its handle and tying to the side of her belt. More a backup weapon, but useful to slice those the occasional slime for this mission. Then last, but certainly not lest, her defensive shield. Found and refined from her Destination, the Crest of Almire was a barrier found at FSC at first as only a charred and damaged before having the Alchemists repair it to its former glory. Now it was pristine as well as powerful, keeping her safe from the fiery dangers.

The knight was only dressed in a Flak jacket with matching boots and pants, along with a simple helm to let her hair follow out, but such things wouldn't protect her down there. Stepping inside of the Armory Machine, she selects her Armor and Crown of the Fallen. The set was a really strong, yet had its risks being made of dark metals. But Mystel knew was she was doing, standing still as the clamps came down to hold her in place, as the machine began to imprint the armors qualities onto her clothing, making them comfortable to wear, yet strong and resistant.

With her weapons and Armor ready, she moved close to the elevator platform, but waited, turning her head toward the door to see if any of her fellow knights would join her for a patrol of the Burning depths. Long before she was even in her guild, there were knights that stormed the place and took down its King, Lord Vanaduke. But it seems he could not stay down, as other parties of knights have run into him and had to deal with him. Even to this day, knights are sent in to try and keep down the seemingly endless waves of slag zombies, oilers, and Trojans.

"But someone has to do it" Mystel says to herself

A Burning Patrol (Roleplay Topic) Empty The door

Post  Mawashimono Wed Feb 27, 2013 5:57 am

As the Dragon Princess watched Mystel head off on another solo mission against the zombie hordes of Lord Vanduke, her thoughts were once again drawn to the door to a very special weapon storage room – a room and door she had so often stood outside of and contemplated with anger and pain.

It had begun with Seerus. He first made his existence known to the knights with his offer of weaponry and gear to those knights strong enough to penetrate to the heart of his fortress in Operation Crimson Hammer, a weapon which, along with Seerus’s bomb and mask, were indeed worthy of a master weapons crafter and many a knight wore and used them with pride.

Seerus had sought out an audience with the Dragon Princess when the fearsome Lionheart honor sword had been created. He had come to her not only to admire the sword, but also to make her an offer – he would provide certain unique bombs of mass destruction if she and her guild knights would use them to target their mutual monster enemies. She had rather rashly and foolishly agreed to work the rogue villain thinking it would be to their mutual benefit. Only later did she learn what Seerus hadn’t told her at the time.

The bombs were indeed extremely powerful and effective, but to use them a knight had to manually set them off. In other words, it was a suicide bomb – a weapon of terrorists, which even some knights had accused the community of being. War often brought out the worst in beings, and Mawashimono hoped her warrior heart had not become hardened beyond compassion and even love. A leader and commander often had to make difficult choices, but this was damnable one indeed.

Some knights of Lionheart had already sacrificed themselves to use some of the bombs – the most bitter being the loss of two of her veteran officers – Lord-Hood and Round-Shinigami – who had succeeded in invading the heart of one of the fiends oldest and largest dark cities – Fiendadelphia. They had given their lives to inflict massive casualties on the enemy.

The Dragon princess told her guildmates that they were merely “inactive” , not bothering to explain how both had gone missing on the same day. And they were not the only ones. Other knights who seemed were inactive had also died for the war by using these weapons.
The Dragon Princess thought of Mystel and her great skills and courage. There existed a bomb capable of doing significant damage to the entrance of the Firestorm Citadel. it could not destroy the zombie hordes, but it might be able to trap them inside the citadel. Could she ask such a brave young knight like Mystel to make such a sacrifice? The decision weighed heavily on her heart. She needed to share the burden with someone, but who…?

[oh wow, wasn't expecting you to use photos. Very nice Very Happy ]

After a few minutes, Mystel decided to ask for any assistance for the guild. She pulled out her small PDA that kept up with communications and messages, sending out a guild general message of "Anyone want to join for for a FireStorm Citadel patrol?" she typed, then put the PDA away, then going to practice her heavy sword swings to get her body ready for the heavy combat she'll be in soon.

Meanwhile, in the hate-filled battleground known as Lockdown. Adept wizard Grug locks himself into mortal battle with time travelling opponents able to transverse forward small periods of time in instances. He frequently devises new ways to destroy opponents in the time wars created by the illuminati OOO as a ploy to suppress the plebians. He and his comrades from the wild Australian homeworld battle valiantly to overcome invisible forces of High Latency to no avail.

His knees weak, palms sweaty, his rage infinite, his cause hopeless, his mind addled from prolonged periods of gel-based performance enhancing narcotics yet he fights on. He has lost all sense of logic and spends his days in a self-imposed exile from society doing peculiar things to bide his time until the next lockdown fight. He has truly become lost.
